About Neibahood

My name is Louis Were. I started Neibahood because I wanted to find a place where I truly belong.

I was born in Uganda and grew up in Kenya. For ten years, I traveled across many African countries like Tanzania, Togo, South Africa, and Burkina Faso. I was moving around to discover who I was. Finally, I went to Ghana and I knew I had found home.

"I know what it is like to struggle here. I am African, and even for me, the path was not always clear."

Like many people, I once felt frustrated with life in Africa. I left and lived in Thailand for six months. I was trying to find a better life somewhere else. But during that time, I learned an important lesson. The beauty I was looking for was already with me and inside my home continent.

I struggled with visas and trying to find my way. But I learned that you need resilience and persistence to make it here. Some people might not understand your journey, but that is part of the process. Africa is full of opportunity and eventually, we win.

I built this website to inspire people to come to Africa and at least give it a chance. Starting over is not easy, but it is possible and everyone can do it.

I also design websites and build directory pages. I have found ways to make passive income and I use many different strategies. Everyone has their own path, and you will find yours too.
